The city of Tulsa is looking for community input on how to prioritize more than $4 million to improve sports courts in the city's parks.

This is part of the Improve Our Tulsa Renewal capital improvement package that was recently approved by voters.

"Nets are falling apart, grass is coming through, nobody wants this in their neighborhood," Tulsa Parks Director Anna America said.

That’s why the city of Tulsa is trying to do something about the issue, but first, they need your input.

America said the tennis court at Explorer Park is one of many courts that needs work.

"It's in pretty poor condition, and we have a lot of courts like this,” America said.

The city park system has 167 courts across 133 parks. The city's parks department has put up signs at all sports courts with a QR code.

All you have do is use your smartphone camera to scan the code, and it launches a survey with a list of questions in English or Spanish.

Some of those questions include: how often do you or your household visit this park? How satisfied are you with the current sports courts? And, when we evaluate this park's sports court, what would you prefer we do?

"You tell us what you want at the courts that you use," America said.

America said there's a broad range of opportunities and it doesn't just involve refurbishing a sports court.

"Might want to cover a part of this to pickleball or adding a basketball court," America said.

The survey will be available for only several more weeks. You can find a link to the survey here.
