TULSA, OK -- Rick Wells is a "tweeter." He follows and is followed on Twitter.

One of his "tweeple" is a boutique in Brookside called Ida Red.

Wells knew the focus was Tulsa's historic Cain's Ballroom, but beyond that he didn't know much about Ida Red, until Tuesday.

Ida Red is a boutique in Brookside. You can find all sorts of things there like the phenomenon that is Tom's shoes.

Ida Red is full of opportunities to rekindle long gone memories by picking up a Zagnut candy bar or some Clove and Black Jack gum.

What's hot right now, Angelene Ripley Wright of Ida Red says, is in a cooler.

"Let's see here. This is the original formula Dr. Pepper, Dublin Dr. Pepper. It's got real sugar in it. It's the old fashioned formula," said Wright.

Candy and soda's popular, but the central focus of Ida Red is music and musical history, specifically Cain's Ballroom.

They have t-shirts, you can buy tickets to Cain's events and Ida Red is a performance venue too.

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, new groups play there, like one eclectic collection of strings called the Rockin' Acoustic Circus.

It's a new place with an old feel. Moms and Dads can share a childhood memory with their kids.

"They get the same soda every time. The same candy every time. They sit down, it's like they're making a memory here. It's coming full circle. I like watching that," said Wright.
