OKLAHOMA COUNTY -- A severe thunderstorm that swept across the state Tuesday has left a mess behind, particularly in central Oklahoma.
The storms damaged homes, knocked down trees and power lines, destroyed crops and disrupted electrical service to thousands of homes and businesses in Oklahoma County.
Much of the damage is isolated to a two-mile stretch in the Harrah area, 20 miles east of Oklahoma City.
Residents say they hadn't seen a storm like this in quite some time.
"I don't know whether it was a tornado, a downburst or what, but whatever, it was a very terrific wind to do this because we've never had this happen before," said Leo Nowakowski, a storm victim.
At one point, Oklahoma Gas & Electric reported about 14,000 customers were without power.
No one was hurt in the storms.
