TULSA, Oklahoma - Owasso senior defensive back Aaron Colvin made his verbal commitment to the University of Oklahoma on Sunday evening.
Colvin narrowed down his choices to the Sooners, Oklahoma State, Tulsa and Missouri before choosing OU live on the Oklahoma Sports Blitz.
He is Oklahoma's 19th verbal commitment of the 2010 recruiting class and the fourth in-state recruit to say he will play football for the Sooners next season.
Colvin was limited to just four games during his junior season at Owasso. He injured his thumb against Enid and was sidelined for the remainder of 2008.
"Not trying to sound babyish but I actually cried about it. I thought my college experience was over because your junior year is your most important year," Colvin said on July 7. "I thought I might have been done. I thought I might have had to start off really, really small and try to work my way back up."
Colvin held just a few scholarship offers before attending camps at Missouri and Oklahoma in June.
