TULSA, OK -- ORU's founder, Oral Roberts will be back in Tulsa on Friday for a special event at the university that bears his name.
Oral Roberts along with ORU board chairman Mart Green will formally install Dr. Mark Rutland as the university's third president.
The ceremony will take place Friday afternoon at Oral Robert University's Mabee Center.
Students, faculty, alumni and community leaders have been invited to the ceremony which begins at 1 p.m.
The Mabee Center is located on the campus at 7777 South Lewis Avenue.
The university was founded in 1963 by evangelist Oral Roberts.
ORU will also provide online streaming of the ceremony at www.oru.edu.
A man was arrested Monday for attempting to steal two televisions from a Glenpool Walmart on Labor Day.
