TULSA, OK -- 40 Days for Life -- that's the idea behind a new anti-abortion campaign in Tulsa.

Pro-life supporters gathered at the Garden of Hope in the 6100 block of East 32nd Place Tuesday to kick-off what they're calling an intensive event.

"We're here to pray and to pray for 40 days as Jesus did so that more and more people will choose life and not abort their babies," said Bishop Edward Slattery, Tulsa Catholic Diocese.

The anti-abortion campaign will focus on 40 days of prayer, fasting and education.

Pro-life supporters will also hold peaceful protests at different abortion facilities around Green Country.
