OWASSO, OK -- Owasso gets an A+ for transparency.

City leaders announced the honor Friday afternoon. 

The citizen watchdog group "Sunshine Review" awarded the A+ rating based on how accessible government information is to residents.

"They have the right to know, and in doing this project, we've actually tripled the amount of information that's available to our citizens online and by request," said Rodney Ray, Owasso City Manager.

Owasso is the first city in Oklahoma to receive the highest possible grade.
