Sergeant Jason J. McCluskey, 26, of McAlester, Oklahoma, died on November 4, 2010, when insurgents attacked his unit at Zarghun Shahr in Afghanistan's Mohammad Agha district.

The Department of Defense said McCluskey was assigned to the 27th Engineer Battalion, 20 Engineer Brigade, XVIII Airborne Corps, out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

The McAlester newspaper reports that McCluskey graduated from McAlester High School in 2004 and joined the Army in April 2006. Funeral services are set for Saturday at 10 a.m. in McAlester.
