OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - An Oklahoma teenager has disappeared while hiking with his family in Ecuador. August Reiger graduated as a valedictorian last month from Oklahoma City's Classen School of Advanced Studies. Reiger's father believes he either fell from a steep ledge or was kidnapped.

LAWTON, Okla. (AP) - A jury has recommended the death sentence for an Oklahoma man convicted in the 2009 killings of a Comanche County couple. Prosecutors said Mica Martinez's crime was especially heinous and cruel. Martinez's attorney said Martinez suffered from severe depression and had been drinking heavily at the time of the killings.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Police in east Tulsa are hand-delivering fraud prevention letters to business owners after an increase in mail theft. Some tips include promptly removing mail from boxes after delivery. Police advise asking a friend or neighbor to pick up the mail if an owner is going to be out of town.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma City's tap water has been ranked best in the nation. The city's water won the "Best of the Best" competition in judging at the American Water Works Association's Annual Conference. Oklahoma City's water won a regional tasting contest in October to earn the berth in the North American event.
