TULSA, OK -- The Cherokee Nation has a new website. Now living history is just a click away. The website has been a year in the making, and when you click on you can see it's a job well done.
"Our tourism department was created in 2007," said Senior Project Manager Heather Williams, "now we are able to reach a broader audience and we're just happy to have that opportunity."
The website was designed and built by the Cherokee Nation's Cultural Tourism Department. Now with the click of your mouse you can book one of four historical tours, all outlined in detail on the site. The tours include the Cherokee History Tour, Cherokee Old Settler Tour, Civil War History Tour and Will Rogers History Tour. The Cherokee Nation's Cultural Tourism Department believes the online booking function is what has drawn so many visitors to the site.
The website also serves as one of the most complete Cherokee Nation heritage resources on the web. The site provides information on the Cherokee People, art & artists, maps, travel information, and cultural attractions.
