This past week has been absolutely wonderful. But the pattern has changed and we're moving into more of a typical summer-time pattern including temps moving a few degrees above normal along with increasing temperature heat index values as low level moisture continues to surge northward across the state. The storm system responsible for the rain and cooler air is now exiting the state. We may havea few more showers across extreme eastern or southeastern OK early this morning, but our rain chances are basically finished. The rain started yesterday and is continuing this morning across part but not all of the state. A flash flood watch remains for western, central, and southern OKtoday through Friday. The Tulsa metro is not included in this watch. Temperatures today will remain in the 60s near 70 for daytime highs. These readings will set records for low maximum highs across the area today.
