Road Trip Oklahoma Pulls into Tuttle

In 1902, this town was named after local cattleman and rancher, James H. Tuttle. Tuttle is home to the Braum's Dairy farm, which operates for over 280 Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Stores throughout five states. The Tiger Safari is also located in the city of Tuttle and houses over 100 exotic and domestic animals. More>>

  • Tuttle is a largely agriculture community with a focus on wheat, cotton, corn, alfalfa hay, Bermuda grass hay and cattle.
  • Braum’s Dairy, the largest farm in the area, is located just outside of the city’s limits and has a market presence spanning all over the states.
  • Tuttle began with the first settler, Jim Tuttle in 1902.
  • The Silver City Antique Tractor Club is the only club left in the state and has been holding the Annual Silver City Tractor Show since 1992. It is on the third weekend in May each year. The club also holds tractor pulls March-October on the second Saturday of each Month. Next year they will celebrate their 20th year. In 2011 they had over 80 tractors attend.
  • Chamber of Commerce put on the Annual Ice Cream Festival on the third weekend in May. This event draws crowds from all over the state. The festival includes live entertainment, Ice Cream Princess Pageant, parade, food vendors, craft vendors and lots of activities for kids of all ages. Admission is always free.

Tuttle Senior Citizens Center is located just west downtown Tuttle. Debra Smith and her staff cook up homemade goodness every week day. Everyone is always welcome.

Nachito's Mexican Restaurant

Nachito's is a branch from a long line of family restaurants. Edgar Ignacio Torres learned the family recipes he uses today from his grandfather and mother. Durango Tacos Al Carbon are a must try only available in the family restaurants. Nachito's logo is "It's Not Fine Dining... But it Tastes So Good!"

Tuttle Middle School

Michael Armstrong will teach kids about Oklahoma weather during an entertaining and informative weather presentation. Val Castor will join in on the fun with a special presentation.

Leadership Luncheon

Amanda Taylor and Kelly Ogle will participate in a special noon discussion meeting of Tuttle leaders at Tiger Safari Catered by All-American Pizza and Nachito's Mexican Restaurant.

Tuttle High School

Stan Miller and Jed Castles will drop by Tuttle High School on Thursday to see what trouble they can get into - watch out THS!
