

On September 28, 1891, Chandler, Oklahoma was one of two towns to have its own land run and be established. The city has a population of approximately 2,900 people, with a school system consisting of a pre-kindergarten through second grade elementary, a third grade though sixth grade elementary, a junior high, and a high school. 19 properties in Chandler are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The Lincoln County Museum of Pioneer History has an assortment of exhibits that tell the story of Lincoln County’s origin and many residents.
