Road Trip Oklahoma heads to Blanchard's May Daze

The May Daze Festival, first held in 1994, marks the "unofficial start to summer" in Blanchard, and includes karaoke, delicious fair food, shopping, booths filled with everything from art to antiques, a Diaper Derby, live music in a variety of genres, contests, and a carnival. More>>

Fun Facts About May Daze

  • Almost 600 foot-long corn dogs are consumed every year at the May Daze Festival, for a grand total of 10,483 corn dogs enjoyed by festival goers over the years.
  • The festival will be adding two new contests this year – “Name that Show Tune” and “The Not-So-Newlywed Game.” Prizes will be awarded to the winners.
  • The first May Daze Festival had over 200 booth vendors from Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, New York, and California.
  • Two popular events at the Festival are the Diaper Derby, a race first held in 2010 to find the fastest crawling baby in Blanchard, and the turtle race.

The May Daze Festival, held annually since 1994, is the unofficial start to summer in Blanchard, OK. A carnival, karaoke, fair food, arts and crafts booths, and contests ensure there will be something everyone will enjoy.

  • Come spin our prize wheel for great surprises!
  • 10:00am-11:00am Meet and greet with Blanchard's own Bobbie Miller.
  • 1:00pm-2:00pm Meet and greet with Christina Eckert and Lauren Nelson.
  • 3:00pm-6:00pm Meet a Meteorologist! Come listen to Nick Bender and Lacey Swope answer your weather questions.
