Fun Facts About The Oklahoma State Fair

  • The first state fair was held one month before Oklahoma became the 46th state.
  • The space needle was built in 1968 and is 330 feet tall.
  • The fair hasn’t always resided at 10th and May; it was relocated to its current location in 1953.
  • State Fair Park covers 435 acres.
  • The Constitutional Fountain sprays more than 2,800 gallons of water per minute.
  • Each year State Fair Park hosts about 180 different events.
  • The Oklahoma State Fair had three different types of corn dogs: regular, poncho dogs and waffle dogs.
