Fun Facts About Territorial Christmas

  • Guthrie was the Territorial Capital and first State Capital of Oklahoma.
  • There are over 2,000 buildings within the Guthrie Historic District covering 1,400 acres and 400 city blocks making Guthrie the largest urban historic district in the United States.
  • Each year Guthrie hosts the Oklahoma International Bluegrass Festival that draws nearly 15,000 visitors annually.
  • Guthrie was initially four distinct cities; Guthrie, East Guthrie, West Guthrie, and Capital Hill.
  • Guthrie is home to several museums, including the Oklahoma Territorial Museum, and the Guthrie Scottish Rite Masonic Temple.
