A juror in the manslaughter trial of former Tulsa County Reserve Deputy Bob Bates says he doesn't deserve to go to prison. The juror wrote a letter to the judge which was made public in a filing by Bates's attorneys on Friday, May 27, 2016. State Gun Law Provision Worries Oklahoma Law Enforcement
In an opinion written on Friday of last week, Attorney General Scott Pruitt reaffirmed the state's law on concealed carry gun licenses, saying it is clear when it reads, Oklahomans don’t need an Oklahoma license to carry; any license from any state will do.
