TULSA, OK -- The National Weather Service has downgraded a winter storm warning for most of eastern Oklahoma. The only counties which remain under the warning are Adair, Sequoyah and LeFlore counties.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the big concern has been bridges and overpasses Monday afternoon and most roadways and highways are just wet.

Monday morning, when snow started to stick to area roads and highways, law enforcement investigated several accidents including one on I-244 just west of Yale.  That accident was blamed on road conditions at the time.

News On 6 meteorologist Dick Faurot says snow will continue to taper off before coming to a stop Monday evening.

As the temperatures drop overnight, Faurot says the wet roads will freeze causing most bridges and overpasses to again be slick and hazardous.

Faurot says the temperature will not get above freezing on Tuesday.

EMSA in Tulsa says it has not seen any noticeable influx of weather-related emergency calls Monday.

The City of Tulsa has spent a total of $770,835.33 this winter treating streets for snow and ice accumulation. This includes materials and overtime hours.

The city says they have 4,000 tons of salt remaining, 1,200 tons of salt and sand mixture, and 3,700 tons of sand.

ODOT Road Conditions Update Monday 3:30 p.m.

ODOT crews across the state are reporting clear but wet roads as they remain on standby, monitoring conditions. Drivers are reminded to use caution as temperatures drop and bridges and overpasses begin to freeze. Drive for the conditions and be aware of the possibility of black ice caused by refreezing. As temperatures begin to drop this evening, crews will be salting and sanding bridges and overpasses, highways and interstates as needed.
