A progress report on some of the Vision 2025 projects. Most are still in the planning stages - but some roadwork starts soon.

News on 6 reporter Emory Bryan says the arena gets most of the attention as the most expensive single project - but there are dozens of others that are getting started. One is the widening project and intersection improvement at 36th Street North and the Tisdale Expressway.

The Vision 2025 plan includes money to make that a major intersection - and build a five-lane road from there - west to the Osage County line. From there the Osage Nation plans to extend 36th Street, west towards a casino they're planning - and in the direction of "The American" statue. The wider road will connect with Osage Drive on the west. The road should be completed next year.

The first road project to start will be the widening of 61st Street east of US Highway 169 - that project starts after Labor Day.
