STILWELL, OK -- Authorities in Adair County are investigating an early Tuesday morning double murder-suicide in a rural area of their county.

Adair County Sheriff Austin Young said deputies responded to a shooting at a home in rural Adair County at about 4:45 a.m. Tuesday.

When they arrived at the home, deputies found 26-year-old Gary Nakedhead and 32-year-old Lela Buckner dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Two juveniles in the home at the time told deputies the suspect was an ex-boyfriend of Buckner.

Young said the suspect, 34-year-old Shawn Scraper, was found dead a short time later in a Stilwell church parking lot.  Young said Scraper apparently had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Sheriff Young said Scraper and Buckner had just ended a long-term relationship and Nakedhead was the woman's new boyfriend.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Adair County Sheriff's Office in its investigation.
