WEBBERS FALLS, OK -- A father continues his desperate search for answers in the mysterious disappearance of his son.  It's been nearly five years since NSU student Stephan Adams vanished.  His dad hopes a new reward for information in the case will uncover new leads and eventually lead to peace of mind for his family.

For nearly five years, Carl Adams says he hasn't had a good night's sleep.  He also hasn't given up his search for answers into the disappearance of his son Stephan.

"It's just like, you know, if you lose a child in the woods, you have that desperate feeling that you've got to find them, that's how it has been for me for five years," said Carl Adams.

It was December 2004; Stephan Adams left the NSU campus in Tahlequah after classes, telling his girlfriend he was giving a man a ride to nearby Keys, Oklahoma.  That was the last time anyone heard from him.

"When he disappeared, we knew something bad had happened," said Carl Adams.

Carl Adams says everyday since then, has been agonizing.  He's hopeful the renewal of an OSBI $5,000 reward will prompt someone to come forward with information about Stephan's disappearance.

"I'm begging them, please, please come forward, and do the right thing," said Carl Adams.

Despite some leads in the case, investigators have never found Stephan Adams' truck, and no one has used his credit cards or cell phone.

"It is a very helpless feeling, very helpless," said Carl Adams.

Adams says he has long since accepted that his son is dead.  But, he wants to know why, who did it and most of all, he wants to bring his son home.

"I'll never stop.  Till the day I die, I'll be looking for him and I'm going to find him," said Carl Adams.

Anyone with information in the case should contact the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation hotline at 800-522-8017.
