TULSA, OK - The Tulsa County murder trial of Marquis Bullock has wrapped up for the week on Friday afternoon.  So far, 23 people have testified.

A lot of the testimony on Friday was scientific and dry. It was about finding bones, handling evidence and matching those bones with DNA to the victim, 13-year-old Cori Baker.

However, a couple of big things did come out.

The medical examiner admitted he can't say how Cori died because only 18 of her 180 bones were found.  He testified that he cannot say if the girl was stabbed or shot or strangled or tripped and fell.  He also can't say what category her death falls into.  He can't say it was homicide or accident or natural.

A police detective also admitted that what initially tested positive as blood on Bullock's tennis shoes, later tested negative at the lab.

However, prosecutors are trying to show the jury not just small pieces of the case, but the larger case as a whole.  They want the jury to understand that Cori was last seen alive with Bullock, that her bones were found at a place he'd been to just weeks before and that he lied about where he was when Cori disappeared.
