JENKS, OK -- The Jenks Public School district announced at a news conference Friday afternoon that head coach Allan Trimble will serve a self-imposed suspension for the remainder of the semester as a result of an investigation into school policies regarding athletics.
Trimble will have nothing to do with the football program until January, and he will be reassigned to an off-campus position that has yet to be determined.
In 13 years as head coach in Jenks, Trimble has led his Trojans to nine state championships. But he wasn't on the sidelines Friday night in Sapulpa.
In addition to Coach Trimble's suspension, next year's spring football practices have been called off.

Jenks Public Schools held a news conference to disclose findings into an investigation of the school's athletic department.
The school has to provide a roster of player names to the state association for the next five years and the district is hiring its own watchdog to make sure more rules aren't broken.
"We are going to bring in an individual from outside the athletic department who will in effect serve as a compliance officer and will conduct internal audits into our residency reporting procedures and who will watch over, so to speak, the athletic department, to make certain that even a hint of recruiting is not occurring," said Kirby Lehman, Jenks superintendent.
