VAN BUREN, Ark. -- A man is being held without bond in an Arkansas jail after being arrested for the death of his girlfriend's 1-year-old baby.
Delvin Alex Pendleton, 26, of Pocola, was arrested Saturday in Crawford County, Ark., for the killing of Alexis Mae Shores-Evans. Officials say the baby suffered trauma that suggested she was thrown to a floor.
Investigators say Alexis was taken to a hospital on October 4 and died last Tuesday. Pendleton is charged with first-degree murder. Officials say he will have a bond hearing later this week.
