NORMAN, OK -- OU quarterback Sam Bradford has elected to have season-ending surgery on his throwing shoulder, according to a news release Sunday afternoon.
The procedure will be performed by Dr. James Andrews on Wednesday in Alabama.
OU says Sam Bradford will meet with the media on Monday at about 6 p.m. to briefly talk about Sunday's announcement.
Bradford says he hopes to enter the 2010 NFL Draft if his four-to-six month recovery goes smoothly.
