OKMULGEE COUNTY - Henry L.C. Young, 59, of Okmulgee was killed when his vehicle went left of center on State Highway 16 and was struck by a semi tractor trailer truck at about 5 p.m. Friday. The accident took place near County Road 11 in Okmulgee County.
According to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Young was pinned in his 1996 Lincoln Towncar for about an hour and a half before he was extricated by Beggs firefighters.
The driver of the 2003 Freightliner semi trailer truck, William Shaun Merchant, 29, of Preston was treated at the scene for minor injures.
