TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Police in Tulsa are involved in a standoff with a robbery suspect that officers say is holding two hostages - including a 6-year-old.
Officer Leland Ashley says the incident began when a Dollar General Store and a Subway restaurant were robbed late Monday. Ashley says officers tracked the suspect to an apartment complex in east Tulsa.
Police say relatives of a woman who lives at the complex called officers around midnight later to say the woman had called them and said she and her 6-year-old daughter were being held inside their apartment.
Police negotiators and a bomb squad were on the scene Tuesday morning.
