OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police said a fire that swept through a home where four people were found dead was intentionally set.
Investigators are now searching for a fifth person who they believe was at the house when the blaze began.
Firefighters discovered the bodies of three women and one man early Monday inside the burning home on the city's southwest side. The identities of the victims have not been released.
Police Sgt. Gary Knight says investigators believe another man was at the home when the fire started and they are searching for him.
Knight says the medical examiner's office has not yet determined how the four people died.
Melvin Watkins, whose family owns the home, says he rented it about three months ago to 31-year-old Jose Fernando Fierro, but Knight says Fierro was not one of the victims.
Knight would not confirm whether Fierro is the person being sought by police.
A vigil will be held for the victims at the house Tuesday night at 8:30.
There has been a special phone line set up specifically for tips regarding the homicides relating to the house fire. Anyone with information regarding this case should call (405) 297-1200. The new phone line will be manned, but if nobody answers, callers should leave a voicemail, as the line will be checked for messages regularly. This phone line is only for tips regarding this case.
