SAPULPA, OK -- An investigation is underway to determine what caused a suspicious house fire in Sapulpa late Thursday night.
Sapulpa firefighters were dispatched to the home just after 11 p.m. Thursday.
Firefighters say witnesses reported seeing someone leaving the area in the 300 block of South Hawthorne just before the fire broke out.
No one was inside the home at the time. The resident's dog was inside and it died in the fire.
Fire officials say the home was considered a total loss.
