Fire Destroys East Tulsa Home Overnight

TULSA, OK -- Several homes are damaged after a fire in east Tulsa overnight. 

The fire was first called in at around 12:36 a.m. at a home near 31st Street and 129th East Avenue. 

Firefighters say the fire started in the garage and spread to the rest of the house.  They say the fire had burned for some time before being discovered. 

A woman and two children, who were inside the home were able to escape the flames uninjured. 

Fire officials say there was no working some detectors in the home.

Homes on either side of the burning house also sustained minor damage. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. 

The Red Cross is assisting the family.
