OKLAHOMA CITY -- Investigators expect charges to be filed next week against a Nichols Hills doctor accused of fatally stabbing his 9-year-old son.

Doctor Stephen Wolf believed his son, Tommy, was possessed by the devil, according to court documents.

Police have already interviewed three family members including Wolf's wife, Mary, who was the only witness to the brutal murder of her son.

Investigators said they now believe they have enough evidence to proceed with criminal charges against the Nichols Hills doctors.

"I think we can expect them to be filed by early next week or sometime next week," said Nichols Hills Police Chief Richard Mask.

Investigators said Tommy Wolf was stabbed several times by his father, Dr. Stephen Wolf at their home on Elmhurst Avenue. Investigators spent this week at the scene looking for clues. A search warrant yielded 21 potential pieces of evidence including three knives, but it is unknown whether police are going to try to obtain Doctor Wolf's medical records.

"That was discussed at the DA's office this morning and it is not yet decided what, if anything, else we might subpoena," Mask said.

Police filed another warrant Thursday morning to recover more information they consider essential for the case including "...blood, hair, fibers... and any writings or documents relevant to demonic possession of an individual..."

The interest in demonic-related items is in reference to a statement Dr. Wolf made when he allegedly stabbed his son claiming that the devil was in him.

Police said they have no plans to interview anyone else in this case, although they might question Mary Wolf again.

A funeral for Tommy Wolf will be Friday afternoon at Christ the King Church. Graveside services will be at the Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
