PAULS VALLEY, OK -- Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigated a fatality accident in Garvin County Friday evening.
A 15-year-old boy riding on the tailgate of a pickup truck fell "for an unknown reason" and died after striking his head on the driveway at about 8:37 p.m. Zane Barnes was pronounced dead at the Pauls Valley General Hospital, according to the trooper's report.
The accident took place on a private drive just west of Interstate 35 near State Highway 29. The vehicle was driven by a 17-year-old. The troopers reported no improper action by the driver.
