McALESTER, Okla. (AP) - McAlester fire investigators are trying to determine what caused a fire at an apartment building where the body of a man was discovered inside.
Fire Marshal Bobby Tucker says the man's body was sent to the state Medical Examiner's office for an autopsy to determine how he died. Tucker said officials aren't releasing the man's name until his identity is confirmed.
Tucker says firefighters received an alarm for the fire late Nov. 15. He says firefighters initially were unable to enter the building because of the intensity of the fire.
Tucker says once the flames were extinguished, firefighters went inside and found the body.
