TULSA, OK -- One person is dead following an accident at Mohawk and Xanthus early Thursday morning in Tulsa.
Tulsa Police say the accident happened at 6:30 a.m. Police say it appears a vehicle was traveling west on Mohawk when the driver lost control. Officers say the car initially ran off the right side of the road then over corrected and landed in the ditch on the other side.
The car then burst into flames.
Police say there was only one person inside the vehicle, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the victim has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
Police are still trying to determine exactly what happened.
