State Prison Escapee Sought In The Tulsa Area

TULSA, OK -- U.S. Marshals are looking for a prison escapee in the Tulsa area.

In a news release, the U.S. Marshals Service says it is looking for Steve Joe Brown.

He walked away from the Riverside Transitional Center on Charles Page Boulevard on February 14.

The marshals say on March 4, Brown went to the QuikTrip at 3108 South 129th East Avenue in Tulsa and physically assaulted a female clerk and robbed the store.

Brown has strong ties to Tulsa, Muskogee and the Wichita, Kansas area.

Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Steve Brown is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
