TULSA, OK -- A symbol on Route 66 has been damaged, again.
Someone smashed both Route 66 signs on either side of the pedestrian bridge at Centennial Plaza near Riverside and Southwest Boulevard.
Problems with vandalism prompted the city to install barriers last year. This time, the vandals not only busted the signs, but the lights for the avenue of flags as well.
There's no word on how much it will cost to repair the damage or when the repairs will be made.
Police arrested a Tulsa man for assaulting a woman and her two children.
