TULSA. OK – Wednesday evening's thunderstorms dumped a lot of water around the Tulsa area as well as a large part of eastern Oklahoma, creating some isolated flash floods.

In Tulsa, the intersection at 44th and Sheridan is always underwater during storms like these. The water was over some cars' tires.

Passengers evacuated when the water started coming inside. Altogether, The News On 6 saw three cars stranded in the intersection.

High water swallowed up the road at 38th and Yale around 9 p.m. Most drivers avoided the intersection, but some plowed on through. We didn't find anyone stalled out.

And a News On 6 photographer in South Tulsa said he saw streets that looked like oceans. Water covered the road at 63rd and Lewis.

Luckily, no stalled cars, because most people seem to be avoiding the deepest water.

The same was true for streets and roads near Broken Arrow.  Many that were flooded overnight are the same streets and roads which have a history of flooding.
