Police arrested a man accused of violently raping and maiming a woman in Oklahoma City.

Police arrested 20-year-old Patrick Garnette on several complaints, including rape, forcible oral sodomy, domestic assault and battery, kidnapping and maiming.

Garnette is being held in the Oklahoma County jail.

A woman told police that on Saturday, Garnette came to her home and threw a fan at her, before binding her hands and feet with duct tape.

She said Garnette locked her in the closet for 15 minutes then sexually assaulted her.

At one point, the woman said he stuck a pair of pliers in her mouth, grabbed her tongue and broke several of her teeth.

The victim also said Garnette used the pliers to injure her private part.

The woman told police she knew Garnette, and that he tried to "pimp her out" recently, but she refused.

According to a police report, officers found duct tape and pliers during a search of the home where the attack occurred.

The woman called News 9 Monday night and said she was relieved to know Garnette had been arrested. She also said she was recovering from the attack.
