OKLAHOMA CITY -
A contractor for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation was rushed to the hospital Friday morning after a driver slammed into him on westbound Interstate 40 near Air Depot.
The man was doing maintenance work on I-40 when the car hit him. According to the Oklahoma High Patrol, the worker was pinned between two vehicles. He was taken to the hospital with head, internal and lower body injuries. It's believed the injuries are not life threatening.
The two inside lanes of westbound I-40 were closed while troopers investigated the crash and spoke to the driver. They have since re-opened.
