TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa police say a SUV reportedly going more than 80 mph caused a two-vehicle rollover wreck shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday on 61st Street, just west of Highway 169.

Five people were taken to the hospital, one in critical condition, according to Sergeant Clint Roberts with the Tulsa Police Department.

"The story we're getting from the witnesses right now is that the SUV was westbound on 61st Street in excess of 80 miles an hour, weaving in and out of traffic," Roberts said.

The SUV clipped another car then overturned.

The female driver may have been speeding to get a passenger with respiratory problems to the hospital, Roberts said.

"Even with that being a factor, people still need to slow down and pay attention for cars," he said.

The most seriously injured occupant was apparently not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, he said.

EMSA reports they transported four people in the crash to area hospitals: 33-year-old and 19-year-old males in serious condition and a 24-year-old male and 22-year-old female in fair condition. Broken Arrow Fire Department transported the fifth person, according to Kelli Bruer of EMSA. That person's age, sex and medical condition were not available.

The driver of the second car was apparently uninjured.

"We don't know if alcohol was involved," Roberts said. Beer cans were present at the scene.
