State Changes Cause Of Death In Chanda Turner Case Amid Murder Suspicion

Twelve years after Chanda Turner was found dead, the Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed there has been a change in her cause of death. It is now classified as undetermined.

Turner's death was originally classified as a suicide by the ME's Office. For more than a decade, Turner's family has petitioned the state to classify the death as a homicide after an independent autopsy determined Turner was murdered.

She was found with a single gunshot wound to her chest on July 12, 2000 at the home she shared with her live-in boyfriend in Pauls Valley.
