TULSA, Oklahoma -
Tulsa Police have located the parents of a young special needs girl found wandering near 41st and Mingo early Monday.
A woman found the girl walking along 41st Street at about 5 a.m. The girl was barefoot and wearing pajamas. Police say the woman took the girl to the QuikTrip at 41st and Garnett and called 911.
Police say the girl, who is about 5 years old, was unable to communicate with officers. They released a picture of the girl to the news media. Someone recognized her and called police who then took the child to the parents.
EMSA paramedics checked out the girl as a precaution.
