TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa Police are searching for a convicted felon who is currently wanted on a $470,000 bond. Deonta D. Ballard is the city's Most Wanted suspect this week.

Ballard has six felony warrants for his arrest: two counts of robbery with a firearm, burglary, kidnapping for extortion, kidnapping and felon in possession of a firearm.

According to court records, Ballard and another man forced their way into a midtown Tulsa house at gunpoint, stopping Carmanita Hughes as she was backing her car out of the garage in the 3900 block south of Darlington.

Ballard and Dustin Sanders held the woman and her 18-year-old daughter hostage for two hours, an affidavit states.

Ballard and Sanders went through the house, taking items and - at one point - firing shots through into the floor.

When the men couldn't find cash, they forced Hughes and her granddaughter to drive to a bank and cash a check. The men stole the woman's car and escaped with the cash and stolen goods.
