SEILING, Oklahoma -

One person was killed and two others injured after a semi-truck crossed the center line and crashed into another vehicle head-on near Seiling Friday afternoon.

It happened at 3:50 p.m. on U.S. 270, eleven miles southeast of Seiling.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2013 Mack semi-truck driven by 36-year-old James Lierle was southeast bound on U.S. 270, when it went left of center and struck a 2008 Dodge Charger head-on.

The driver of the Charger, 39-year-old Susan Proffitt, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was pinned inside her vehicle for about two hours before being freed by Seiling firefighters.

Lierle was transported to the Seiling Hospital with possible head and trunk injuries. He was treated and released from the hospital.

A passenger in Proffitt's car was airlifted to the OU Medical Center with head and leg injuries.

Troopers say Lierle was under the influence of illegal drugs at the time of the collision. The cause of the collision was listed as "left of center" in the OHP collision report.
