SHAWNEE, Oklahoma -

A popular picture studio operating out of Wal-Mart and Sears shuts down for good this week with no warning. And on Saturday night, customers are feeling ripped off.

Countless customers have taken pictures at PictureMe portrait studio at its various locations across the nation. Many say they're furious they may never get the photos they paid for.

"It would've been our first family picture together," said Melody Hanson.

Hanson was excited to finally take a professional picture of her family at PictureMe studio in the Shawnee Wal-Mart. She bought a $20 portrait club card last Saturday and just 4 days later, the shop shut down.

"It says on their answer machine that they filed for bankruptcy, but they don't let their customers or anyone know about it," Hanson said.

The PictureMe website says: "After many years of providing family portrait photography, we are sad to announce our PictureMe Portrait Studios are now closed. We appreciate your patronage and allowing us to capture your precious memories."

Hanson says Wal-Mart told her to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

"I'm really, really upset about it. I used to work here at Wal-Mart, and just all of a sudden, people start getting scammed because of the cards," said Hanson.

Cheyenne Fowler got photos taken of her 6-month son every month at PictureMe.

"Spent lots of money and they haven't returned any of my calls, none of my emails nothing," said Fowler.

Wal-Mart gave her a $20-refund for one of her club cards, but still no photos back.

"My memories, that's my baby. That's my memories. I love my son to death," Fowler said.

Some Photos from PictureMe are available at the Wal-Mart customer service center. The PictureMe website says customers can access their online and order pictures until April 18.
