Authorities Identify Woman Found Dead Inside Burning Car In NW OKC

The medical examiner's office has identified the body of a woman found inside a burning car in northwest Oklahoma City last month.

Laquisha Danielle Towers, 27, was found dead inside the burning car just before 6 a.m. Saturday, March 2 at the Willow Cliff Apartments.

Police were originally called to check out a car crash in the 5300 block of Willow Cliff Road. When they arrived at the scene, they saw a vehicle on fire and found Towers dead inside. No other vehicles or damage to any buildings were found. Police are calling the car fire suspicious.

The ME's office said the cause and manner of Towers' death are pending.
