TULSA, Oklahoma -

Four people have died after five were shot in a north Tulsa residence about 7 p.m. on Saturday, police have confirmed.

"A lone gunman enters the garage and confronts the five people, shooting all five at close range," said Sgt. Dave Walker, Tulsa Police Department.

A man and woman, both between 30-40 years old, were pronounced dead on the scene. A woman in her 50s died upon arrival to a local hospital.

The fourth homicide victim is a woman in her 50s, Walker said. A 55-year-old man was admitted to the hospital in serious condition.

EMSA paramedics also checked over a minor.

All five people were found in the home's converted garage, located in the 1300 block of North New Haven Avenue near Pine Street. Police said others were inside the residence.

Walker said the motive for the murders is not clear.

"The residence has been the scene of several arrests for illegal narcotic dealing in the past year," he said.

Police believe the victims knew the suspect and that the gunman was familiar with the house. TPD believes the shooter left through the back door. They are still looking for the suspect, who is described as a white man, 30 to 40 years old. He has a medium build and is between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot in height.

"Due to the nature of this investigation, no other information on the victims will be released at this time," Walker said early Sunday.

Anyone who believes they may have information that can help police is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS or the Homicide Tip Line at 918-798-8477.
