UNDATED -- The eighth-longest series for the OSU Men's Basketball team will be renewed after a 12-year hiatus.  The Oklahoma State-Tulsa series, which went 22 consecutive seasons from 1975 until 1996, has hosted 104 meetings. The last time these two turnpike rivals played, President Bill Clinton had won his re-election bid over Bob Dole just 17 days earlier and freshman Keiton Page was just seven years old.

Oklahoma State is 2-0 this season with wins over UTSA (76-57) and North Texas (100-88). The Cowboys are led by senior guard Terrel Harris who is averaging 20.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per contest. Sophomore guard James Anderson is averaging 19 points and 7.5 boards per game, while senior guard Byron Eaton has averages of 16.5 points and 4.0 assists in two games.

Tulsa is 1-0 this season after a low-scoring 50-43 victory over Oral Roberts in the Mayor's Cup last Saturday. Ben Uzoh had a game-high 20 points for the Golden Hurricane while Glenn Andrews added 11. Center Jerome Jordan had eight points and 10 rebounds in the victory.

The University of Tulsa still has a limited number of tickets available for Thursday nights' road game at Oklahoma State. Fans can call the TU athletic ticket office at 918-631-GoTU (4688).

Game time at Gallagher-Iba Arena is set for 7:00 pm.

The Cowboys lead the series 66-37, but Tulsa has won the last two games including a 72-54 victory in the 1996 contest.  The last time the two teams met in Stillwater, the Cowboys grabbed a 93-88 win in the 1995-96 campaign.
