SULPHUR, OK -- A Maysville teacher and assistant coach has been arrested and is accused of selling drugs to undercover agents.
Bradley Kim Gaddy, 30, was taken into custody at his home in Sulphur on Wednesday, according to a news release.
Agents began investigating Gaddy after receiving tips that he was possibly involved in drug activity, said Mark Woodward, spokesman for the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics
They arranged a meeting with him at a Sulphur parking lot Feb. 25 and made an undercover purchase of about a quarter-pound of marijuana from Gaddy, Woodward said.
Gaddy teaches physical education at Maysville Elementary School and is an assistant football, basketball and baseball coach for the district.
"We fight daily for the future of our young people, and when we encounter a case such as this, we will make it a priority to investigate it to the fullest," OBN Director Darrell Weaver said. "Society is yearning for solid role models, and it's a real tragedy when this trust is violated."
Gaddy is facing one count of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.
