OKLAHOMA CITY - A new exhibit at Science Museum Oklahoma gives a glimpse of how Adolph Hitler used scientists and physicians in his mission to create a master race.

The Deadly Medicine: Creating the Master Race exhibit opens this week and runs through July 5. The exhibit describes how Nazi operated on, sterilized or killed people they felt were inferior or different.

"It seems simplistic they wanted to cleanse their own race they wanted to purify Germany and that meant riding it of anyone with disabilities and anyone that had differences," said Edie Roodman with the Jewish Federation of Greater Oklahoma City.

The Jewish Federation spent a year applying for the exhibit. Oklahoma City was one of only three sites in the world to host the exhibit this year.

The President of the museum expects people from Dallas, Wichita and Kansas City to make a trip to see it.

"In my view, they developed it for non-Jewish people it is an education piece that us as non-Jews need to know, need to remember and need to think about," said Don Otto with Science Museum Oklahoma.

Roodman said the exhibit spreads an importance message to remember the past.

"If we don't remember, there's the chance history may repeat itself," Roodman said.
